Excerpt

In this way, Ananda, should be checked any remorse in Cunda the smith. ✨ To meditate on today

According to the Mahâparinibbâna Sutta, the Buddha, who fell ill after the meal offered by Cunda the smith, asks that Cunda be spared any remorse and that he be told instead the value of his gift; then he sings that virtue grows in the one who gives and that anger does not arise in the one who restrains himself. Today, if someone feels guilty about a blunder toward you, reassure them and tell them what was good in their intention.
