How foolish it is, Father, to believe that Your Son could cause himself to suffer! Could he make a plan for his damnation and be left without a sure way to his deliverance? You love me, Father. You could never leave me desolate, dying in a world of pain and cruelty. How could I think that Love has left Itself? There is no will but the Will of Love. Fear is a dream and has no will that can conflict with Yours. Conflict is sleep, and peace is awakening. Death is illusion; life is eternal truth. There is no opposition to Your Will. There is no conflict, for my will is Yours.

The central truth is that conflict is an illusion. It does not truly exist. It is a dream you are having, a nightmare where you believe you are torn between two opposing wills. But there is only one Will, God’s, and it is also yours. When you awaken from this dream, conflict vanishes. Peace is not the resolution of conflict; it is the realization that conflict never existed. Forgiveness is the awakening from this dream.
This lesson is the peak of all teaching on will. You have learned that conflicting desires cannot be your will, that your will is one with God’s. Here, you realize this unity makes conflict impossible. Previous lessons have guided you step by step out of conflict. Now, you behold the total absence of conflict. Forgiveness shows you that God’s Will is One, and you share it. This is God’s peace.
To experience this truth, each time an inner conflict arises today, pause and say: « There is no conflict, for my will is Yours. » Do not try to resolve the conflict; simply give it to God. Watch it dissolve in the light of truth. You will see that behind every apparent conflict, unity awaits you. The oppositions you perceived were only illusions. In truth, there is only one Love, one Will, one Peace.
