Lesson 298
Lesson 298

I love You, Father, and I love Your Son.

My gratitude permits my love to be accepted without fear. And thus am I restored to my Reality at last. All that intruded on my holy sight forgiveness takes away. And I draw near the end of senseless journeys, mad careers, and artificial values. I accept instead what God establishes as mine, sure that in that alone I will be saved; sure that I go through fear to meet my Love.

Father, I come to You today, because I would not follow any way but Yours. You are beside me. Certain is Your way. And I am grateful for Your holy gifts of certain sanctuary, and escape from everything that would obscure my love for God my Father and His holy Son.

✨ Summary & practice

To love the Father and to love His Son, gratitude opens the way.

Having understood that all is forgiveness (Lesson 297), this lesson expresses the culmination of the entire journey: love. In the curriculum, it is the return to the Source. Your gratitude allows your love to be accepted without fear. This is how you are finally brought back to your reality. All that intruded upon your holy sight, forgiveness removes. And you draw near to the end of senseless journeys, of frantic pursuits and artificial values.

The central idea is that you accept what God has established as yours, certain that only in this will you be saved. You pass through fear to meet your Love. You come to God today because you desire no path but His. God is beside you; His way is certain. You are grateful for His holy gifts, a sure refuge and escape from all that would obscure your love for God and His holy Son.

This lesson is part of the final sequence (298–300). It prepares for Lesson 299 (eternal holiness dwells in you) and Lesson 300 (this world lasts but an instant). It echoes Lesson 246 (to love the Father is to love His Son) and Lesson 282 (do not be afraid of love). Gratitude is the key that opens the door to fearless love, it transforms fear into joyful recognition.

To live this lesson today, take a moment to feel deep gratitude. Give thanks for everything: for life, for the people you love, for the lessons learned, for the difficulties that helped you grow, for God’s presence within you. Let gratitude fill your heart until it overflows. Then, from this heart full of gratitude, look upon others and recognize in them the Son of God. Gratitude dissolves fear and allows love to flow freely.

Gratitude is the bridge between fear and love. It reminds you of all you have already received and prepares you to receive all that still awaits. Today, simply be grateful, for everything, for everyone, for God.
