Christ asks that He may use my eyes today, and thus redeem the world. He asks this gift that He may offer peace of mind to me, and take away all terror and all pain. And as they are removed from me, the dreams that seemed to settle on the world are gone. Redemption must be one. As I am saved, the world is saved with me. For all of us must be redeemed together. Fear appears in many different forms, but love is one.
My Father, Christ has asked a gift of me, and one I give that it be given me. Help me to use the eyes of Christ today, and thus allow the Holy Spirit's Love to bless all things that I may look upon, that His forgiving Love may rest on me.

Having put the body in its proper perspective (Lesson 294), this lesson offers your eyes to the Holy Spirit for a sacred purpose. In the curriculum, it is a gift of yourself to divine service. Christ asks to use your eyes today to redeem the world. He asks this gift to give you peace of mind and to remove all terror and pain. As these are lifted from you, the dreams that seemed to rest upon the world disappear. Redemption is one: as you are saved, the world is saved with you.
The central idea is that fear appears in many forms, but love is one. Christ has asked for a gift, and what you give, you receive. By using Christ’s vision today, the Holy Spirit’s Love blesses everything you look upon, and His forgiving Love rests upon you. In offering your eyes, you receive vision. In giving, you receive. The world is redeemed through your offering, and with it, you are redeemed.
This lesson prepares for Lesson 296 (the Holy Spirit speaks through me) and the final series 297–300. It echoes Lesson 270 (I will not use the body’s eyes), Lesson 271 (I will use the vision of Christ), and Lesson 291 (the vision of Christ looks through me). Offering your eyes to the Holy Spirit is the culmination of your work on perception.
In practice today, begin by offering your eyes to Christ: "Christ, use my eyes today. See through me what You would see." Then move through your day knowing it is no longer you who looks. You lend your eyes to a greater Presence. Notice how your perception shifts: colors become brighter, faces softer, life more sacred. You are a channel for Christ’s vision, and through you, the world is gently transformed.
In offering your eyes to Christ, you become an instrument of redemption for the whole world. Every glance becomes a blessing. Every sight becomes a healing. Let the Holy Spirit see through you today.
