Father, Your Mind created all that is, Your Spirit entered into it;Your Love gave life to it. And would I look upon what You created as if it could be made sinful? I would not perceive such dark and fearful images. A madman's dream is hardly fit to be my choice, instead of all the loveliness with which You blessed creation; all its purity, its joy, and its eternal, quiet home in You.
And while we still remain outside the gate of Heaven, let us look on all we see through holy vision and the eyes of Christ. Let all appearances seem pure to us, that we may pass them by in innocence, and walk together to our Father's house as brothers and the holy Sons of God.

With Christ’s eyes, everything you see is pure.
After learning to see beyond differences (lesson 262), this lesson lifts your vision to an even higher level. In the curriculum, it is the gift of holy vision. The Spirit of God created all that is; His Pure Mind entered it, His Love gave it life. How could you look upon what God created as if it could be made sinful? This lesson invites you to perceive all creation as pure, joyful, eternal.
The central idea is that holy vision sees the original purity of all things. You refuse to see dark, fearful images. You abandon the madman’s dream for the beauty with which God blessed creation. Contemplating the world through Christ’s holy vision, all appearances seem pure, and you can pass beyond in innocence, moving toward the Father’s home as a holy Son of God. The gates of Heaven open before you.
This lesson builds on the previous one (262), where you learned to see unity beyond differences. It prepares lessons 264–265 on God’s omnipresent Love and the gentleness of creation. It also connects with the theme of forgiveness (247): when you forgive, you see the purity that sin seemed to hide. Now, you see this purity directly, without needing to forgive first. This is the direct vision of truth.
Practically today, walk (even mentally) through nature or your city streets. For each thing you see, a tree, a face, a building, an animal, ask: 'How does Christ see this?' Then let the answer arise. You may feel a softness, a beauty, an innocence you hadn’t noticed before. When you see something that seems ugly or sad, look deeper: the original purity is there, beneath appearances.
Christ’s eyes see a world of pure light. Let Him look through you today, and you will see what God created: perfect, pure, eternally loving.
