Father, I did not make myself, although in my insanity I thought I did. Yet as Your Thought I have not left my Source, remaining part of What created me. Your Son, my Father, calls on You today. Let me remember You created me. Let me remember my identity. And let my sinlessness arise again before Christ's vision, through which I would look upon my brothers and myself today.
Now is our Source remembered, and Therein we find our true Identity at last. Holy indeed are we, because our Source can know no sin. And we who are His Sons are like each other, and alike to Him.

God created you, remember your Source.
We arrive at a foundational lesson. After recognizing that there is no sin (lesson 259), it is time to remember where you truly come from. In the curriculum, this is the return to Source. You may have thought in your madness that you created yourself, that you are the product of your choices, your history, your circumstances. But the truth is far more beautiful: you are God’s Thought, you have never left your Source, you are still part of the One who created you.
The central idea is a call to remember your creation by God. You did not make yourself. As God’s Thought, you have never left your Source. The Son calls to the Father to remember his Identity and his impeccability. By remembering your Source, you find your true identity. You are holy, because your Source cannot know sin. And all the Sons of God are alike, each to each, and all to Him. Returning to the memory of God is healing.
This lesson is the peak of a series beginning at lesson 251 (need for truth) and continuing with identity (252), sovereignty (253), purpose (256–258), and innocence (259). It opens the way to lessons 261–270, which explore life from this reclaimed identity: safety in God (261), holy vision (263), omnipresent Love (264), and much more. Everything flows from this remembrance.
To apply this lesson today, each time you doubt your worth, your ability, or your identity, repeat: 'God created me. I am His Thought, and His Thought is perfect.' Look in the mirror and say: 'You are not the product of your mistakes. You are God’s creation.' Look at others and say: 'You too, God created you. We are alike, holy and perfect in Him.' Let this remembrance transform your perception of yourself and the world.
You are not an accident. You are not the result of random circumstances. You are the intentional, loving Thought of God. Remember this, and everything else will be illuminated.
