Lesson 244
Lesson 244

I am in danger nowhere in the world.

Your Son is safe wherever he may be, for You are there with him. He need but call upon Your Name, and he will recollect his safety and Your Love, for they are one. How can he fear or doubt or fail to know he cannot suffer, be endangered, or experience unhappiness, when he belongs to You, beloved and loving, in the safety of Your Fatherly embrace?

And there we are in truth. No storms can come into the hallowed haven of our home. In God we are secure. For what can come to threaten God Himself, or make afraid what will forever be a part of Him?

✨ Summary & practice

Nowhere in the world are you in danger, for God is with you.

After learning not to judge (lesson 243), this lesson addresses a fundamental fear: the fear of danger. In the curriculum, this is a turning point. You begin to realize that safety does not depend on external circumstances, but on the presence of God within you. The world may seem threatening, with its storms and uncertainties, but this lesson reminds you of the most reassuring truth: the Son of God is safe everywhere.

The central idea is simple and powerful. You need only call upon the Name of God to remember your safety and His Love, for they are one. How could you fear, doubt, or suffer when you belong to God, beloved in His Fatherly embrace? No storm can reach the sacred haven of your dwelling in God. For what could threaten God Himself or frighten what is eternally part of Him?

This lesson builds on the previous one, where you learned not to judge. By ceasing to judge, you also stop projecting fear onto the world. It prepares the way for the lessons that follow on the peace that accompanies you (245) and the Father’s love for His Son (246). It is a cornerstone: once you know you are safe, everything else can be seen anew. Fear has no hold.

To practice this today, whenever you feel fear, whether about your health, finances, relationships, or the future, pause and call upon the Name of God. Simply say: "Father, I am Your Son. I am safe because You are with me." Do not try to analyze the fear. Simply replace it with the certainty of His presence. You will see fear melt like snow in the sun when you remember Who is with you.

You are never alone. Every step you take is taken within God’s loving embrace. Nothing can touch you there.
