Lesson 226
Lesson 226

My home awaits me. I will hasten there.

If I so choose, I can depart this world entirely. It is not death which makes this possible, but it is change of mind about the purpose of the world. If I believe it has a value as I see it now, so will it still remain for me. But if I see no value in the world as I behold it, nothing that I want to keep as mine or search for as a goal, it will depart from me. For I have not sought for illusions to replace the truth.

Father, my home awaits my glad return. Your arms are open, and I hear Your Voice. What need have I to linger in a place of vain desires and of broken dreams when Heaven can so easily be mine?

✨ Summary & practice

Your home awaits you. Hasten there

This lesson invites you to recognize that you can leave this world entirely, not by the body's death, but by a shift in mind about the world's purpose. This is a crucial distinction: leaving the world does not mean dying physically, but ceasing to give it the reality you attribute to it. The world as you see it has power over you only to the extent you give it. The Father's Arms are open and His Voice is heard.

The lesson asks you to honestly look at what you seek in the world. Are you still seeking fleeting pleasures, achievements that never satisfy, relationships that disappoint? These are all "vain desires and shattered dreams." The lesson does not judge you for having sought them, but invites you to recognize their emptiness. The world cannot give you what you truly seek.

The prayer that ends the lesson is beautifully simple: "Father, my home awaits my happy return. Your Arms are open and I hear Your Voice."

Practice:

Today, several times, ask yourself: "Does what I am doing right now help me leave the world of illusions or bind me to it further?" If you feel you are binding yourself, remember: "My home awaits me. I will hasten there." You do not need to leave everything externally, but to change internally your relationship with everything. The world then becomes a place of passage, not a prison. Each moment is an opportunity to choose Heaven over illusion.

Your home is not a distant place in space or time: it is one change of perception away, and the Father's Arms are already open to welcome you.
