(165) Let my mind not deny God's Thought.
God is only Love, and so am I.
(166) I am entrusted with God's gifts.
God is only Love, and so am I.
The Thought of God within you and His infinite gifts.
We move forward in this precious review, and the central thought carries us: God is only Love, therefore I am Love too. Why are these reviews essential? Because lessons 165 and 166 deal with our relationship to the Thought of God and the gifts He has given us, subjects so intimate they can only be understood through contemplation. Review is the time of contemplation.
Lesson 165 asked you not to deny the Thought of God. This Thought created you and has never left you. Do not refuse the Heaven that belongs to you simply by asking. The gifts of God are entrusted to you (166). His trust in you is limitless. The world is not God’s Will, and thus it is not real. But God’s gifts are always with you, waiting for you to see them. In reviewing, you open your eyes to what has always been there.
These lessons are invitations to receive. Lesson 179 (review 167–168) and lesson 180 (review 169–170) will complete this movement of receiving. Revisions 171–180 are like a great breath preparing you for the next part of the journey. God is only Love, therefore you are Love, and Love freely receives what is offered. You do not need to earn God’s gifts. You only need to accept them.
Practice:
Today, ask yourself: 'What Thought of God am I denying?' Perhaps you are denying your goodness, your worth, your innocence. Then open yourself to that Thought. And throughout the day, become aware of the gifts already surrounding you: life, awareness, beauty, love. God’s gifts are entrusted to you. You do not need to seek them, they are already here.
Look. God’s gifts are everywhere, because God is everywhere.
