Lesson 246

For him who can do these things, his level will be that of a line, his modifications in due and proper season.

Excerpt

Leave wisdom to ants. Strive for what fishes desire. Leave attractiveness to mutton. Use your eyes to contemplate, your ears to listen to, your mind to consider, their own internal workings. For him who can do these things, his level will be that of a line, his modifications in due and proper season.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to Chuang Tzu, the transcendent man remains simple: he trusts what he sees, hears and thinks, acts straightforwardly when it is his turn to act, and adapts to the course of events when they carry him. Today, when something unexpected happens, take one breath and look for a way to go along with it rather than fight against it.
