'For three months,' he said, 'I have been living a life of leisure, fasting in heart, subduing my body, and casting about in my mind for the true method of nourishing my own life and regulating the lives of others. But I failed to discover the secret. Worn out, I fell asleep and dreamed this dream. Now I know that the Perfect Way is not to be sought through the senses. โจ To meditate on today
According to Lieh Tzu, the Emperor Huang Ti long sought by sheer effort how to govern well, and the answer came to him in the rest of a dream: the supreme Principle, the Tao, is not reached by force but by letting go and non-action. Today, if a problem resists you, stop turning it over in your head for a while: walk, breathe, sleep on it, and let the solution come by itself.
