Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise Him for the salvation of His countenance.

According to the psalmist, even when the soul is downcast and restless, one can speak to it gently and invite it to place its hope in God again, for the joy of praising Him will return. Today, if discouragement overtakes you, speak to yourself as to a friend: “Why are you troubled? Hope in God.”
