Lesson 32

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.

Excerpt

Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His abundant greatness. Praise Him with the blast of the horn; Praise Him with the psaltery and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and the pipe. Praise Him with the loud-sounding cymbals; Praise Him with the clanging cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Hallelujah.

✨ To meditate on today

According to the psalmist, all music — the horn (the shofar, a ram’s horn sounded on Jewish feasts), the harp, the timbrel, the dance, the cymbals — and finally everything that has breath is invited to praise the Lord. Today, put on some music that gladdens you or sing a few notes, and offer that moment as a praise of your breath.
