God answered them: It is enough for you also to remain together, one beside the other; for there will always be poor men in the world who must be succoured; now Daleth (= Poverty) designates the poor man, and Ghimmel (= to succour) designates the benefactor who assists the former. Therefore remain one beside the other, that the one may nourish the other.

✨ To meditate on today
According to the Zohar, God keeps the Hebrew letters Daleth and Ghimmel side by side, one standing for the poor and the other for the one who helps, so that they may nourish each other: the giver receives as much as the one who is helped. Today, offer your help to someone in need and notice what this exchange gives you in return.
