Lesson 256

Eat ye that which is good, And let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Excerpt

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? And your gain for that which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto Me, and eat ye that which is good, And let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto Me; Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, Even the sure mercies of David.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to Isaiah, the prophet, God invites us to stop spending our strength on what does not satisfy and to listen to Him instead: then the soul feeds on what is truly good, as at a feast, and it comes alive again. Today, notice something that takes your time without nourishing you, and give that time to what truly does your soul good: a silence, a reading, a loved one.
