Lesson 253

The light of all lights appeared in all its splendour.

Excerpt

The light of all lights appeared in all its splendour; it opened the gate of the East, whence the light comes; the South displayed all the magnificence of its primordial light, so that the light of the South mingled with that of the East; that of the East at once reached the North, which it flooded, and the North spread abroad the light it had received throughout the West. Thus all four cardinal points of the world were flooded with light.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to the Zohar, the great book of Jewish mysticism, the light of all lights sprang forth in the East and passed from one cardinal point to the next, each handing on the light it had received, until the whole world was flooded with it. Today, pass on the light you have received: an encouragement, good news or a smile, to someone who can in turn give it to another.
