Lesson 239

The trees of the LORD have their fill, The cedars of Lebanon, which He hath planted.

Excerpt

The trees of the LORD have their fill, The cedars of Lebanon, which He hath planted; Wherein the birds make their nests; As for the stork, the fir-trees are her house. The high mountains are for the wild goats; The rocks are a refuge for the conies. Who appointedst the moon for seasons; The sun knoweth his going down.

✨ To meditate on today

According to the psalmist, every creature has been given its place: the birds in the cedars, the stork in the fir-trees, the wild goats in the mountains, while the moon and the sun set the rhythm of time. Today, as you walk outside, spot three living things in their place — a bird, a tree, an insect — and give thanks for the peaceful order of the world.
