Lesson 238

The earth is filled with the fruits of Thy works.

Excerpt

It is written: β€œThou waterest the mountains with the waters that fall from above, and the earth is filled with the fruits of Thy works.” What do the words β€œwith the waters that fall from above” mean? They are the waters that flow from the celestial river and never cease to water the lower worlds, as we have just said.

✨ To meditate on today

According to the Zohar, which here comments on a verse from the Psalms, the waters that fall from above upon the mountains come from the celestial river, which never ceases to water the worlds here below: that is how the earth is filled. Today, as you drink or water a plant, remember that you are constantly receiving, and let some of what you have received flow on to someone else in turn.
