Of old Thou didst lay the foundation of the earth; And the heavens are the work of Thy hands.

Excerpt

Of old Thou didst lay the foundation of the earth; And the heavens are the work of Thy hands. They shall perish, but Thou shalt endure; Yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; As a vesture shalt Thou change them, and they shall pass away; But Thou art the selfsame, And Thy years shall have no end. The children of Thy servants shall dwell securely, And their seed shall be established before Thee.

✨ To meditate on today

According to the psalmist, the earth and the heavens will pass away and wear out like a garment, but God remains ever the same, and the children of those who serve Him will dwell securely before Him. Today, each time something wavers or changes around you, repeat inwardly: “But Thou art the selfsame,” and breathe calmly.
