They shall not hunger nor thirst, Neither shall the heat nor sun smite them; For He that hath compassion on them will lead them, Even by the springs of water will He guide them. And I will make all My mountains a way, And My highways shall be raised on high. Behold, these shall come from far; And, lo, these from the north and from the west, And these from the land of Sinim. Sing, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, And break forth into singing, O mountains; For the LORD hath comforted His people, And hath compassion upon His afflicted.

โจ To meditate on today
According to Isaiah, God comforts His people and cares for the most afflicted: He leads them to springs of water, levels the roads and gathers people from the most distant lands (like the mysterious land of Sinim), while the heavens, the earth and the mountains sing for joy. Today, comfort someone going through a hard time, with a word, a message or a glass of water offered.
