Lesson 194

How great are Thy works, O LORD! Thy thoughts are very deep.

Excerpt

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, And to sing praises unto Thy name, O Most High; To declare Thy lovingkindness in the morning, And Thy faithfulness in the night seasons, With an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery; With a solemn sound upon the harp. For Thou, LORD, hast made me glad through Thy work; I will exult in the works of Thy hands. How great are Thy works, O LORD! Thy thoughts are very deep.

According to the psalmist, in this song for the Sabbath day, it is good to give thanks to God, to declare His lovingkindness in the morning and His faithfulness at night, and to marvel at the greatness of His works. Today, begin your day by naming one thing that gladdens you, and this evening, end it by giving thanks for a kindness you received.
