When the ocean of benevolence stirs its waves, it effaces the faults of men and women.

According to Attar, in the story of Shaikh San’ân, the Prophet appears in a dream to a disciple and tells him that his master’s repentance has been accepted: a single moment of sincere repentance effaces the faults of a hundred worlds, for the ocean of divine benevolence is boundless. Today, if a fault weighs on you, simply acknowledge it, repair what you can, then let it dissolve in that benevolence instead of brooding over it.
