According to Ghazali, the Persian theologian and Sufi, God told Jesus (ʿIsa, a prophet in Islam) that He takes under His protection the pure love His servants bear Him, a love that seeks nothing in return, neither in this world nor in the next. Today, make a gesture of love expecting nothing — neither thanks nor recognition — and simply offer it to God.
