Shadows, indeed, may indicate the sun's presence, But only the sun displays the light of life. Shadows induce slumber, like evening talks, But when the sun arises the "moon is split asunder."

✨ To meditate on today
According to Rumi, shadows speak of the sun, but only the sun gives life; when it rises, even the moon fades before it (“the moon is split asunder” recalls a sign mentioned in the Koran). Today, instead of dwelling on a shadow, turn toward a source of light: a prayer, a loved one, a ray of sunshine.
