As soon as you know it, you will understand exactly what relation you bear to the Simorgh. Behold this mystery with intelligence, but do not divulge it. He who has acquired this knowledge is submerged in the immensity of the Simorgh; but let us beware of saying on that account that he is God. If you become what I have said, you will not be God, but you will be submerged in God for ever.

✨ To meditate on today
According to Attar, in “The Conference of the Birds,” all the birds of the world are the shadow of the Simorgh, the king-bird who stands for God; whoever understands this bond does not become God, as he says clearly, but is immersed in God for ever, as in an ocean. Today, take a moment of silence and let yourself be enveloped by this presence, without asking for anything.
