Subtle is the path of love! Therein there is no asking and no not-asking, there one loses one's self at His feet, there one is immersed in the joy of the seeking: plunged in the deeps of love as the fish in the water. The lover is never slow in offering his head for his Lord's service. Kabîr declares the secret of this love.

✨ To meditate on today
According to Kabir, the path of love is subtle: there one asks for nothing, one is lost at the Lord’s feet and plunges into love like the fish into water; “offering one’s head” is an image of the total gift of oneself, holding nothing back. Today, as you drink a glass of water or wash your hands, remember the fish in the water and tell yourself that you too are bathed in this love.
