I cry aloud to all, to the king and the beggar, the emperor and the fakir-- Whosoever seeks for shelter in the Highest, let all come and settle in my land! Let the weary come and lay his burdens here! So live here, my brother, that you may cross with ease to that other shore.

โจ To meditate on today
According to Kabir, the mystic poet of India, everyone, king or beggar, emperor or fakir (an ascetic who lives on little), is invited to seek shelter in the Highest and lay down their burdens there, so as to cross through life lightly. Today, inwardly name one weight you are carrying, then, on a long out-breath, imagine laying it down with trust.
