Lesson 227

Be yourself. That is all.

Excerpt

You say β€˜I AM’. That is it. What else can say I AM? One’s own being is His Power. The trouble arises only when one says, β€œI am this or that, such and such.” Do not do it - Be yourself. That is all.

✨ To meditate on today

According to Ramana Maharshi, the simple "I am", before any label, is already the Power of God in you; trouble begins when we reduce ourselves to "I am this or that". Today, when you catch yourself defining yourself by a role or a judgment, "I'm useless", "I'm in a hurry", simply come back to "I am", and stay there for a moment, at peace.
