Lesson 2

The Purusha does not love, It is love itself.

Excerpt

The Purusha does not love, It is love itself. It does not exist, It is existence itself. The Soul does not know, It is knowledge itself. It is a mistake to say the Soul loves, exists, or knows. Love, existence, and knowledge are not the qualities of the Purusha, but Its essence.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to Swami Vivekananda, the Purusha, the pure Soul, the true Self present in everyone, does not have love the way one might possess a quality: It is love itself, existence itself, knowledge itself. Today, before you speak to someone, remember that love is not something to manufacture but what you are at heart, and simply let it come through in your voice.
