Lesson 123

Ye are the Children of God, the sharers of immortal bliss, holy and perfect beings.

Excerpt

"Children of immortal bliss" — what a sweet, what a hopeful name! Allow me to call you, brethren, by that sweet name — heirs of immortal bliss — yea, the Hindu refuses to call you sinners. Ye are the Children of God, the sharers of immortal bliss, holy and perfect beings.

✨ To meditate on today

According to Swami Vivekananda, you are not first of all a “sinner”: you are a child of God, an heir to a joy that does not die. Today, each time you catch yourself judging yourself harshly, replace that judgment with this thought: “I am a child of immortal bliss,” and then turn this same gaze on someone you meet.
