Lesson 5

Yea I have loved thee with everlasting love, therefore have I drawn thee, taking pity on thee.

Excerpt

The Lord hath appeared from afar to me. Yea I have loved thee with everlasting love, therefore have I drawn thee, taking pity on thee. And I will build thee again, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy timbrels, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to the prophet Jeremiah, God speaks to His people as to a beloved person: He loves them with an everlasting love and promises to rebuild them, all the way to the joy of timbrels and dances. Today, think of a part of your life that seems to lie in ruins, and make one small concrete gesture to rebuild it, remembering that this love has not left you.
