Lesson 4

Blessed is he who stands at the beginning.

Excerpt

The disciples said to J: “Tell us what our end shall be.” He answered: “Have ye then discovered the beginning, that ye seek the end? For where the beginning is, there is the end. Blessed is he who stands at the beginning: he shall know the end and shall not taste death.”

✨ To meditate on today

According to the Gospel of Thomas (in Pursah’s version, where “J” stands for Jesus), instead of worrying about the end, you can return to the beginning, where life springs forth, and find there a peace that death does not touch. Today, each time a worry about the future arises, come back to what you are doing now, as to a new beginning, and do it with a fresh heart.
