According to the prophet Jeremiah, God asks the exiles in Babylon to seek the good of the foreign city where they live and to pray for it, for their happiness is bound up with its own. Today, do something for the place where you live (your neighbourhood, your building, your town): a service to a neighbour, a piece of litter picked up, a prayer for those who live there.
