Lesson 364

Love attracts love; mine darts towards Thee.

Excerpt

Love attracts love; mine darts towards Thee, and would fain make the abyss brim over, but alas! it is not even as a dewdrop in the ocean. To love Thee as Thou lovest me, I must make Thy Love mine own. Thus alone can I find rest.

✨ To meditate on today

According to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, God’s love draws our love, but ours is so small, a dewdrop before the ocean, that we must “borrow” God’s very love in order to love Him, and that is where the heart finds rest. Today, when you feel unable to love someone enough, simply ask God to lend His love to your heart, then make one small gesture of affection.
