O my most beloved Spouse, Jesus Christ, most holy lover of my soul, Ruler of this whole Creation, who shall give me the wings of true liberty, that I may flee to Thee and find rest? Oh when shall it be given me to be open to receive Thee to the full, and to see how sweet Thou art, O Lord my God?

✨ To meditate on today
According to The Imitation of Christ, the soul that loves Jesus longs for “wings” to rise above what weighs it down, to rest in Him and to taste how sweet He is. Today, notice one thing that holds you back (a worry, a habit, a grudge) and, at three moments of the day, entrust it to God, simply saying: “I want to rest in You.”
