Lesson 298

Thou hast had mercy beyond all hope upon Thy servant.

Excerpt

O Fountain of perpetual love, what shall I say concerning Thee? How shall I be unmindful of Thee, Who didst vouchsafe to remember me, even after I pined away and perished? Thou hast had mercy beyond all hope upon Thy servant, and hast showed Thy grace and friendship beyond all deserving.

โœจ To meditate on today

According to The Imitation of Christ, God is a fountain of love who remembers us at the very moment when we are at the end of our strength, and His kindness goes beyond all we could hope for. Today, remember a moment when you were exhausted and unexpected help came, and become in turn that help for someone who is tired.
