Lesson 259

I have often observed that Our Lord will not give me any store of provisions.

Excerpt

I have often observed that Our Lord will not give me any store of provisions, but nourishes me each moment with food that is ever new; I find it within me without knowing how it has come there. I simply believe that it is Jesus Himself hidden in my poor heart, who is secretly at work, inspiring me with what He wishes me to do as each occasion arises.

✨ To meditate on today

According to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, Jesus does not give her reserves for later: He nourishes her at every moment, hidden in the depths of her heart, and inspires her with what to do in the present moment. Today, before each important task, pause briefly and ask inwardly: “What do You want me to do now?”, then go forward without worrying about tomorrow.
