Lesson 107

They would not hesitate to grant the desires of those little ones, more dear to them than life itself.

Excerpt

My only excuse is my claim to childhood, and that children do not grasp the full meaning of their words. Yet if a father or mother were on the throne and possessed vast treasures, they would not hesitate to grant the desires of those little ones, more dear to them than life itself. To give them pleasure they will stoop even unto folly.

✨ To meditate on today

According to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, who excuses the boldness of her desires by her childlike trust, God is like a father and mother on the throne who grant the desires of the little ones they love more than themselves. Today, dare to entrust a simple desire to God, with the trust of a child who knows they are loved.
