Let us live happily then, not hating those who hate us! Among men who hate us let us dwell free from hatred! Let us live happily then, free from all ailments among the ailing! Among men who are ailing let us dwell free from ailments! Let us live happily, then, free from greed among the greedy! Among men who are greedy let us dwell free from greed!

โจ To meditate on today
According to the Gospel of Buddha, one can live happily and free from hatred, even surrounded by people who are hostile, ailing or greedy, without being overtaken by what gnaws at them. Today, when someone is harsh or closed toward you, answer calmly, without returning their coldness, and notice the peace it leaves in you.
