The bliss of a religious life is attainable by every one who walks in the noble eightfold path. He that cleaves to wealth had better cast it away than allow his heart to be poisoned by it; but he who does not cleave to wealth, and possessing riches, uses them rightly, will be a blessing unto his fellows.

✨ To meditate on today
According to the Gospel of Buddha, the Buddha answers the rich merchant Anāthapindika that he does not need to leave everything: peace is attainable by anyone who walks the noble eightfold path (the way of right view, right speech, right action…), and the one who owns without clinging becomes a blessing to others. Today, use something you own (your time, your skills, a possession) in the service of someone.
