It is by preaching the truth that Tathāgatas lead men. Who will murmur at the wise? Who will blame the virtuous? Who will condemn self-control, righteousness, and kindness?

✨ To meditate on today
According to the Gospel of Buddha, when people turn against his disciples, the Buddha (the Tathāgata) does not teach them to retort in anger: they simply answer that truth, self-control, righteousness and kindness cannot be blamed. Today, if a criticism hurts you, answer calmly and without attacking, letting your kindness speak rather than your resentment.
