This is salvation's keynote: What I see reflects a process in my mind, which starts with my idea of what I want. From there, the mind makes up an image of the thing the mind desires, judges valuable, and therefore seeks to find. These images are then projected outward, looked upon, esteemed as real and guarded as one's own. From insane wishes comes an insane world. From judgement comes a world condemned. And from forgiving thoughts a gentle world comes forth, with mercy for the holy Son of God, to offer him a kindly home where he can rest a while before he journeys on, and help his brothers walk ahead with him and find the way to Heaven and to God.
Our Father, Your Ideas reflect the truth, and mine apart from Yours but make up dreams. Let me behold what only Yours reflect, for Yours and Yours alone establish truth.

If your ideas are thoughts of love and unity, the world reflects love and unity. To change what you see, first change what you think.
This lesson is the foundation of all teaching on perception. You have learned that perception follows judgment, that the world is a mirror. Here, you go back to the source: ideas. Your ideas create your judgments, which create your perception, which creates your world. To change the world at its root is to change your ideas. Previous lessons have given you the tools: forgiveness, Christ’s vision, letting go. All of these change your ideas and thus your world.
To live this lesson, become an observer of your thoughts today. When you see something in the world that displeases you, ask: « What idea in my mind created this perception? » Then choose another idea, a thought of forgiveness or love, and consciously project it. You will see the world change in response. This is immense power: the power to create your world through your thoughts. Use it wisely today. Choose ideas of gentleness, mercy, and forgiveness.
The world is only the reflection of your ideas. Choose God’s ideas, and you will see His world.
