Perception follows judgement. Having judged, you therefore see what you would look upon. For sight can merely serve to offer you what you would have. It is impossible to overlook what you would see, and fail to see what you have chosen to behold. How surely, therefore, must the real world come to greet the holy sight of anyone who takes the Holy Spirit's purpose as his goal for seeing. And he cannot fail to look upon what Christ would have him see, and share Christ's love for what he looks upon.
I have no purpose for today except to look upon a liberated world, set free from all the judgements I have made. Father, this is Your Will for me today, and therefore it must be my goal as well.

Perception always follows judgment. You judged first, then you see what you wanted to see. Sight can only offer you what you have chosen to behold. It is impossible to overlook what you wish to see, and impossible not to see what you have chosen to look at. This is a law of the mind: perception is faithful to your desire. The real world will therefore necessarily greet the holy sight of anyone who takes the Holy Spirit’s purpose as their own.
The essential message of this lesson is that you are not a victim of what you see; you are its author. Vision is not suffered, it is chosen. If you see a world of conflict and fear, it is because you chose to see it that way. But you can also choose to see a world set free, released from all the judgments you have made. This choice is within your reach, now. The Holy Spirit offers you His purpose for your perception; accept it, and the world will change.
This lesson continues the teachings on judgment and perception. You have learned that judgment precedes perception and that perception follows judgment. Here, you discover this power can be used for good as well as for ill. Choosing the Holy Spirit’s purpose is directing all your perception toward love. The world you will then see will be a world of brothers, not enemies; a world of gifts, not threats.
To practice this today, begin by asking: 'What is my purpose for today?' If you have no clear purpose, choose this one: to look upon a world freed from all judgments. Then, throughout the day, check whether you are seeing what you chose to see. If you see conflict, remember you can change your purpose. Say: 'I have no purpose for today except to look upon a world freed from judgment.' You will see things soften around you.
