Judgement was made to be a weapon used against the truth. It separates what it is being used against, and sets it off as if it were a thing apart. And then it makes of it what you would have it be. It judges what it cannot understand, because it cannot see totality and therefore judges falsely. Let us not use it today, but make a gift of it to Him Who has a different use for it. He will relieve you of the agony of all the judgements you have made against yourself, and re-establish peace of mind by giving you God's Judgement of His Son.
Father, we wait with open mind today, to hear Your Judgement of the Son You love. We do not know him, and we cannot judge. And so we let Your Love decide what he whom You created as Your Son must be.
You judge all things as you would have them be, then cease to judge.
Judgment was made to be a weapon against truth. It separates what it judges, makes it a thing apart, then reshapes it according to your desire. The problem is that it judges without understanding the whole, and thus it always judges falsely. You never see a situation in its entirety; you see only a part and condemn it on that incomplete basis. Today, I invite you to lay down this dangerous weapon.
The central idea is liberating: you do not need to judge. You can offer every judgment to the One who uses it differently. The Holy Spirit can use your tendency to judge to show you that you are mistaken about yourself, that you are His beloved Son, not the sinner you believe yourself to be. He will relieve you of the torment of all the judgments you have made against yourself. He will restore your peace of mind by giving you God’s Judgment on His Son.
This lesson connects all you have learned about judgment. You now know judgment comes from fear, that perception follows judgment, and that true happiness is not found in judgment but in love. Judgment is a chain; forgiveness is freedom. When you judge, you imprison yourself. When you let God judge for you, you are free. God’s Judgment on His Son is simple: it says His Son is innocent, perfect, loved.
In practice, whenever you catch yourself judging someone or yourself today, pause. Say in your heart: 'I do not know the meaning of this. I give this judgment to the Holy Spirit.' Then let go. You will feel the tension release. Judgment is a burden you carry needlessly. By giving it to God, you regain your natural lightness. Try it once, then twice, then all day. You will discover a new freedom.
You, let Love decide what you are. His judgment is the only one that matters, and He sees only your innocence.
