Lesson 302
Lesson 302

Where darkness was I look upon the light.

Father, our eyes are opening at last. Your holy world awaits us, as our sight is finally restored and we can see. We thought we suffered. But we had forgot the Son whom You created. Now we see that darkness is our own imagining, and light is there for us to look upon. Christ's vision changes darkness into light, for fear must disappear when love has come. Let me forgive Your holy world today that I may look upon its holiness, and understand it but reflects my own.

Our Love awaits us as we go to Him, and walks beside us, showing us the way. He fails in nothing. He the end we seek, and He the means by which we come to Him.

✨ Summary & practice

Where you saw darkness, light already awaits you.

Your eyes are opening at last. God’s holy world has been waiting silently while sight is restored to you. You thought you suffered, but you simply forgot who you truly are. The darkness you saw everywhere was only your own imaginings projected onto a screen you mistook for the world. Today, a radical transformation is offered to you: Christ’s vision turns darkness into light, because fear must vanish when love appears.

The deep truth of this lesson is that the light never ceased to be there. The darkness was your own veil, woven from fears and resentments. By forgiving the world today, you behold its holiness and understand it merely reflects your own. You do not give holiness to the world; you recognize the holiness that has always been there. Christ’s vision is the sight that sees beyond appearances, directly to the truth. It is a healing gaze, for it holds no offense.

This lesson is rooted in all you have learned about forgiveness and judgment. The world you see with the body’s eyes is a world of darkness, because the ego projects its guilt everywhere. But the world you see with Christ’s eyes is luminous, for it sees only innocence. Love awaits you as you move toward Him, and He walks beside you, showing you the way. He fails in nothing. He is both the End you seek and the Means by which you come to Him.

In practice today, choose to look upon the world with new eyes. When you meet a person or situation that seems dark, pause and say: "I can see this differently." Then ask for Christ’s vision. You will see light pierce the darkness. Practice seeing only holiness where you once saw flaws. Each time you take this view, you heal not only yourself but the world around you. The world becomes holy because you see it as holy.

Remember: darkness was never real. The light is here, now, waiting only for you to open your eyes.
