Father, unless I judge I cannot weep. Nor can I suffer pain, or feel I am abandoned and unneeded in the world. This is my home, because I judge it not. And therefore is it only what You will. Let me today behold it uncondemned, through happy eyes forgiveness has released from all distortion. Let me see Your world instead of mine. And all the tears I shed will be forgotten, for their source is gone. Father, I will not judge Your world today.
God's world is happy. Those who look on it can only add their joy to it, and bless it as a cause of further joy in them. We wept because we did not understand. But we have learned the world we saw was false, and we will look upon God's world today.
When you cease to judge, tears cease.
This lesson is a gentle reminder that suffering arises from judgment. As long as you judge the world, you weep, feeling abandoned or useless. When you stop condemning, the world becomes your peaceful home. Today, I invite you to behold the world without condemnation, with happy eyes that forgiveness has freed from all distortion. It is a simple choice: to see God’s world instead of your own. Father, I will not judge Your world today.
The central idea is stunning in its simplicity: all your tears will be forgotten because their source will have vanished. That source is judgment. When you judge, you see a world of separation and injustice. But this world does not exist in reality; it is the product of your distorted sight. By choosing not to judge, you open the door to a new perception. God’s world is happy, and those who behold it can only add their joy to its joy. You are not here to correct the world, but to change the way you see it.
This lesson bridges forgiveness and true joy. When you judge, you separate yourself from your brothers and from God. When you do not judge, you recognize that all is already perfect in the divine plan. Previous lessons showed you that forgiveness liberates; here, you discover that non-judgment is the highest form of forgiveness. Each time you choose not to judge, you experience the peace that surpasses all understanding. The world you see is only a reflection of your mind.
For today, whenever you catch yourself judging someone or something, pause and gently say: "Father, I will not judge Your world today." Observe what happens within you. You will feel a release, as if a weight has lifted from your shoulders. The world around you will grow softer, brighter. You wept because you did not understand. Now you are beginning to understand.
