Lesson 291
Lesson 291

This is a day of stillness and of peace.

Christ's vision looks through me today. His sight shows me all things forgiven and at peace, and offers this same vision to the world. And I accept this vision in its name, both for myself and for the world as well. What loveliness we look upon today! What holiness we see surrounding us! And it is given us to recognize it is a holiness in which we share; it is the Holiness of God Himself.

This day my mind is quiet, to receive the Thoughts You offer me. And I accept what comes from You instead of from myself. I do not know the way to You. But You are wholly certain. Father, lead Your Son along the quiet path that ends in You. Let my forgiveness be complete, and let the memory of You return to me.

✨ Summary & practice

A day of stillness and peace, Christ’s vision looks through you.

After choosing to see your present happiness (lesson 290), this lesson offers you a full day of calm and peace. In the curriculum, it is an invitation to taste serenity. Christ’s vision looks through you today. His sight shows you all things forgiven and at peace, and it offers this same vision to the world. You accept this vision in His name, for yourself and for the world. What beauty you behold today! What holiness you see around you!

The central idea is that the holiness you see, you share, it is the Holiness of God Himself. Today, your mind is quiet to receive the Thoughts God offers you. You accept what comes from Him instead of what comes from you. You do not know the way to God, but He is entirely certain. You ask Him to guide His Son along the quiet path that leads to Him. Your forgiveness can be complete, and the memory of God returns to you.

This lesson is part of the final series (291–300). It prepares for lessons 292 (a happy outcome is sure), 293 (all fear is gone), and beyond. It echoes lesson 270 (Christ’s eyes), lesson 273 (the stillness of God’s peace), and lesson 286 (the hush of Heaven). Christ’s vision is now fully operational, you no longer seek to see by yourself; you let Christ see through you.

In practice, today, begin by saying: 'Christ’s vision looks through me today.' Offer your eyes to Christ so He may see through you. When you look at something, ask: 'Christ, what do You see here?' Then listen, feel, perceive. You will begin to see a beauty, peace, and holiness you’ve never noticed before. Every face becomes radiant, every object becomes sacred. You are no longer the one who sees, you are the one through whom Christ sees.

Today is a sacred day. Let Christ see through your eyes, let His peace flow through your heart. You are no longer alone in looking at the world, you look with Him.
