The end of dreams is promised me, because God's Son is not abandoned by His Love. Only in dreams is there a time when he appears to be in prison, and awaits a future freedom if it be at all. Yet in reality his dreams are gone, with truth established in their place. And now is freedom his already. Should I wait in chains which have been severed for release, when God is offering me freedom now?
I will accept Your promises today, and give my faith to them. My Father loves the Son Whom He created as His Own. Would You withhold the gifts You gave to me?

Freedom is promised to you now, do not wait.
After understanding that God is not imprisoned with you (Lesson 278), this lesson celebrates freedom already given. Within the curriculum, it is a moment of joyful realization. The end of dreams is promised to you because the Son of God is never abandoned by His Love. Only in dreams does he seem to be in prison, waiting for a future freedom. But in reality, his dreams have already vanished, and truth stands in their place. Freedom is already his, now.
The central idea is that you do not need to wait for liberation. The chains have already been broken. Why wait for deliverance while in chains that no longer exist? God offers you freedom now. You are invited to accept His promises today and place your faith in them. Your Father loves the Son He created as His own. Would He withhold the gifts He has given you? He did not give them for later, He gave them now.
This lesson follows Lesson 278 and prepares for Lesson 280 (what limits can I impose on the Son of God?). It echoes Lesson 241 (salvation has come now) and Lesson 255 (I choose perfect peace today). Freedom is a present gift, not a future reward. The curriculum continually brings you back to the present, where all is already accomplished.
To practice this today, whenever you catch yourself thinking "I will be free when..." or "one day I will understand..." or "later I will be at peace," pause. Say: "Freedom is mine now. The chains are already broken." Feel the truth of this statement. Do not let your mind tell you it is not true, your mind lives in time, but truth lives in the eternal present. Today, choose to accept that everything is already given.
You do not have to wait. Heaven is not a place you go after death, it is the truth of who you are, now. Open your eyes and see: you are already free.
