I ask Your blessing on my sight today. It is the means which You have chosen to become the way to show me my mistakes, and look beyond them. It is given me to find a new perception through the Guide You gave to me. And through His lessons to surpass perception and return to truth. I ask for the illusion which transcends all those I made. Today I choose to see a world forgiven, in which everyone shows me the face of Christ, and teaches me that what I look upon belongs to me; that nothing is except Your holy Son.
Today our sight is blessed indeed. We share one vision, as we look upon the face of Him Whose Self is ours. We are one because of Him Who is the Son of God; of Him Who is our own Identity.

Every face you see is the face of Christ.
After learning to let all things be (lesson 268), this lesson calls for a blessing upon your sight. In the curriculum, it is a prayer to see rightly. You ask God to bless your vision so it becomes the means to look beyond errors, to find a new perception, to choose to see a forgiven world. Today, you no longer wish to see deceptive appearances; you want to see the face of Christ in every person.
The central idea is that in a forgiven world, everyone shows you the face of Christ by teaching you that what you behold belongs to you. Nothing exists except the holy Son of God. Your sight is blessed because you share one vision with all: the contemplation of the face of Him whose Self is also yours. You are one because of Christ, who is the Son of God and your own Identity. To see Christ is to see yourself.
This lesson builds upon previous ones concerning vision (262–265) and acceptance (268). It prepares for lesson 270, where you relinquish the body’s eyes to use Christ’s vision. The theme of Christ’s face links with lesson 266 (your brothers are your saviors). Every face is a doorway to the recognition of your Self. The curriculum gradually leads you to see only one thing: the face of Christ everywhere.
To apply this lesson today, when you look at someone, do not stop at their physical face. Ask to see the face of Christ behind it. When you watch a sunset, a child at play, or a stranger on the subway, seek the face of Christ. When you look in the mirror, seek the face of Christ in your own eyes. Gradually, you will begin to see a gentleness, a light, a beauty you’ve never noticed before.
The face of Christ is everywhere, behind every mask the world wears. Today, look deeply enough to see it. It looks back at you and recognizes you as Its very Self.
