Fear is deception. It attests that you have seen yourself as you could never be, and therefore look upon a world which is impossible. Not one thing in this world is true. It does not matter what the form in which it may appear. It witnesses but to your own illusions of yourself. Let us not be deceived today. We are the Son of God. There is no fear in us, for we are each a part of Love Itself.
How foolish are our fears! Would You allow Your Son to suffer? Give us faith today to recognize Your Son and set him free. Let us forgive him in Your Name, that we may understand his holiness, and feel the love for him that is Your Own as well. what is the world?
The world is false perception. It is born of error, and it has not left its source. It will remain no longer than the thought which gave it birth is cherished. When the thought of separation has been changed to one of true forgiveness, will the world be seen in quite another light; and one which leads to truth, where all the world must disappear and all its errors vanish. Now its source has gone, and its effects are gone as well.
The world was made as an attack on God. It symbolizes fear. And what is fear except love's absence? Thus the world was meant to be a place where God could enter not, and where His Son could be apart from Him. Here was perception born, for knowledge could not cause such insane thoughts. But eyes deceive, and ears hear falsely.
Now mistakes become quite possible, for certainty has gone. The mechanisms of illusion have been born instead. And now they go to find what has been given them to seek. Their aim is to fulfill the purpose which the world was made to witness and make real. They see in its illusions but a solid base where truth exists, upheld apart from lies. Yet everything that they report is but illusion which is kept apart from truth.
As sight was made to lead away from truth, it can be redirected. Sounds become the call of God. And all perception can be given a new purpose by the One Whom God appointed Savior to the world.
Follow His light and see the world as He beholds it. Hear His Voice alone in all that speaks to you. And let Him give you peace and certainty, which you have thrown away, but Heaven has preserved for you in Him.
Let us not rest content until the world has joined our changed perception. Let us not be satisfied until forgiveness has been made complete. And let us not attempt to change our function. We must save the world. For we who made it must behold it through the eyes of Christ, that what was made to die can be restored to Everlasting Life.
Fear is not justified in any form.
This lesson closes this cycle of teaching with a radical declaration: fear is not justified in any form. Not a single fear you feel has any real justification. "Fear is deception. It testifies that you have seen yourself as you could never be, and thus you look upon a world that is impossible." Fear is proof that you have mistaken yourself. It arises when you believe you are something other than what God created. If you see yourself as a vulnerable body surrounded by dangers, you will fear. If you see yourself as a separate ego that can lose what it has gained, you will fear. But the truth about you, that you are spirit, eternal, one with God, makes fear impossible.
The lesson continues: "Not one thing in this world is true. No matter the form it may take. It only testifies to your own illusions about yourself." The world you see is not reality. It is the reflection of your beliefs about yourself. If you believe you are vulnerable, the world shows you threats. If you believe you are guilty, the world shows you accusers.
The final prayer is a request for faith to recognize the truth: "How foolish our fears are! Would You allow Your Son to suffer? Give us faith today to recognize Your Son and set him free. Let us forgive him in Your Name, that we may understand his holiness and feel the love for him that is also Yours.
Practice:
Today, whenever fear arises, small or large, pause and say: "Fear is not justified in any form. I am the Son of God. There is no fear in me." Then, breathe deeply and ask: "What truth have I forgotten that I could fear?" The answer will always be: you have forgotten who you are. Remember: you are Love itself, and Love knows no fear. Choose the truth, and fear will vanish like a cloud before the sun.
Fear is not a reaction to a real threat, but the echo of a lost identity: rediscover who you are, and fear will have no hold on you.
